Make it two consecutive weeks that Lingle Kennel, trained by Cherrye Davenport, provides us with the Greyhound of the Week. For the second time this year, Jedi Dangeranger has earned this honor winning back-to-back top grade AA races. Two months ago, Jedi Dangeranger won his first top grade race and since then, has now won three more to bring his career record to 40/11-9-6-3.

On Thursday evening December 9, Jedi Dangeranger was in a difficult spot drawing post position #6 against a challenging field including recent winners Nelly Nell, Gable London, Tipp Cityboy, Nina’s Fire Pen and BOW Flutterby. As the greyhounds headed to the 550-yard starting box, the fans sent Jedi Dangeranger off as the second longest shot in the race at odds of 11 to 1. The box opened, away they went and Jedi Dangeranger broke to the lead. Jedi Dangeranger took a two-length advantage and kept this cushion for the entire race all the way to the wire rewarding his supporters with a $25.80 win ticket in a race time of 30.18 seconds.
The rail running Jedi Dangeranger drew a more favorable post position #2 for his next outing on Wednesday afternoon December 15. This time, the patrons sent Jedi Dangeranger off as the second betting favorite against a field including race favorite C Ya Tom Collins and grade AA winners Nina’s Wagster and KB’s Cigar Slam. Once again, Jedi Dangeranger rushed to the lead with Nina’s Wagster close behind. Nina’s Wagster pressured Jedi Dangeranger throughout the entire race and as they headed for home, C Ya Tom Collins joined in the mix. Jedi Dangeranger dug down deep and showed his heart and determination by never relinquishing the lead and winning by two lengths in a time of 30.45 seconds.
Congratulations to owner Louie Rivera, trainer Cherrye Davenport from Lingle Kennel and of course to Jedi Dangeranger (Dodgem By Design – Me Too) for this week’s accomplishments.
