NGA News - Shanett leads Futurity final field at Southland

NGA News -  Robert Thorne Kennel's Shanett racked up top point earner honors for the final field of eight heading into the $10,000 Spring Futurity Stakes finals this coming Friday evening, May 6 at Southland Park Gaming & Racing.

Shanett (Rhythmless-Maybix) earned 52 total points by winning three races and finishing third once during the qualifying rounds. The young female has an impressive record of 13 / 9 - 2 - 1- 1 and will likely garner favorite status to win the stakes championship to kick off Kentucky Derby weekend.

K's Bolo (EM's Mac Attack-Do Ya) finished second in qualifying with 2 wins and 2 very close place finishes for a total of 50 points. The Legg Kennel star recently ripped off six straight victories (including the two wins during qualifying) and looks to be threat to take the title as well.
